Discover the natural beauty of Kumejima.
A rich natural environment from the mountains to the sea.
Kumejima is home to a variety of rare species, thanks to its rich natural environment stretching from the mountains to the sea.
The island offers many unique natural attractions, from beautiful white-sand beaches to pristine waters and distinctive rock formations. Hate-no-Hama, a series of white-sand sandbars surrounded by emerald-green ocean, is one of Kumejima’s most iconic landscapes.
The island is also home to a mountain stream designated under the Ramsar Convention, as well as Tatami-Ishi, a unique formation of flat rocks resembling turtle shells along the sandy shore.
